Long before the start of the season, Milwaukee Bucks fans and beat writers speculated about Khris Middleton’s future with the team.
Middleton has a player option for next season, and he had played at an All-Star level to be worthy of a huge raise in his already steep salary.
So, some wonder whether he would opt out to try and extend his stay with the team or if he would leave, and he didn’t do much to appease those rumors.
However, Middleton has struggled with injuries throughout the whole season, so now may not be the best time to bet on himself and test free agency.
Moreover, Shams Charania of The Athletic recently reported that he’s going to rehab next week to get his knee ready and be back for the playoffs, adding that he underwent an MRI, and the results came back clean.
Bucks star Khris Middleton underwent an MRI on his knee Thursday and he is expected to rehab for the next week or so in hopes of being ready for start of the playoffs, sources say.

The Bucks currently hold the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference and have the best record in the league, even with Middleton missing plenty of time and going in and out of the lineup.
The talented SF averaged 15.1 points, 4.9 assists, and 4.2 rebounds per game, and he’s been a major contributor to Mike Budenholzer’s team over the past three years or so.
Some analysts consider the Bucks the team to beat in the league this season, and rightfully so.
So, if Middleton can give them a glimpse of what he was used to giving them in the past, the NBA might be in for some big trouble in the playoffs.
