We now know the punishment that Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors will face.
Last week, Green punched his teammate Jordan Poole during a practice session, creating a media firestorm and serious controversy within his team.
Everyone was wondering what would happen to him: a suspension or a fine or both?
Surely, he wouldn’t just get off without any sort of punishment, right?
Warriors’ Draymond Green has been fined for practice altercation last week, and will return to team activities on Thursday, coach Steve Kerr says.

It turns out he was punished – but barely.
Green has been fined for the interaction from last week and will now return to team activities on Thursday, according to head coach Steve Kerr.
This is a softer sentence than many were expecting and people are already claiming that the team is trying to protect one of its biggest stars.
The Drama Around Draymond
Most people were anticipating Green missing the very start of the NBA season next week due to a suspension handed down by his team.
That won’t be the case and he will be there when team members receive their latest championship rings.
Speculation is raging, with many thinking that Green avoided a more serious consequence for his actions so that he could be there on opening night and get his ring.
Others are claiming that the Warriors didn’t want to lose one of its most valued players when the new season started.
But perhaps the explanation is simpler than that: maybe the team spoke with all of the players, specifically Poole, and decided it was time to move on from the situation.
The team might have moved on but you can bet people will still be talking about the fight when the Warriors face off in their first game next week.
