It really sounds like Deandre Ayton‘s time playing for the Phoenix Suns might be coming to an end.

After months of speculation and rumor, things seem to be moving towards Ayton leaving the team in the very near future.

Brian Windhorst was on ESPN talking about Ayton’s future and he said that the Pacers are circling the big man and hoping to make a move soon.

“We believe that the Indiana Pacers are very close to giving Deandre Ayton an offer sheet or executing a sign-and-trade…We could see something with the Pacers and Ayton as early as today,” Windhorst said.

This would put an end to all the rumors and question marks around Ayton – and could give the Pacers the change they need.

Is Ayton Indy Bound?

In the closing minutes of the Suns’ season, people were talking about Ayton and his future with the team.

Inside sources say Ayton isn’t happy with the Suns – and the Suns doesn’t seem particularly thrilled with him either.

A breakup started to feel inevitable when free agency began.

But a couple weeks have gone by and no trade or package has formulated, which led some to wonder if maybe he would stick around in Phoenix longer.

The Pacers are very interested in adding someone with Ayton’s size and power.

The team sees him as a center who would be, well, central to their future: he could be like Myles Turner, just far more productive – and healthier too.

This deal involves two teams looking for the same outcome, they just need to agree to the terms.

It sounds like the next chapter in Ayton’s career is about to begin.
