The Phoenix Suns haven’t figured Giannis Antetokounmpo out just yet.
The Greek Freak has been a total beast against them since they squared off in the NBA Finals, and they just can’t seem to be able to stop him without fouling him.
Of course, the rest of the league could pretty much state the same, but it seems like he’s had the Suns’ number in particular for quite a while now.
Giannis went to the free throw line a whopping 24 times during his team’s road win over the Suns.
And while that seems like an average night for a guy as physically dominant as Giannis, coach Monty Williams was far from satisfied with the officiating.
The coach put the referees on blast for the free throw disparity, pointing out the fact that Giannis alone shot more free throws than the Suns as a whole.
"Hard to swallow."
Monty Williams on Giannis going 14-of-24 from the line while the #Suns as a team went 14-of-16.

Needless to say, his words drew plenty of reactions on social media, with several fans stating that the referees give Giannis every whistle.
Would have like to see him get a tech on the Giannis obvious charge… show the refs there cannot be an unfair advantage just because Giannis is “the guy” . He’s too big and physical to get bailed out, turns him into more of a cheat code than he already is.

About Time he says something!! Respect! You can't allow the official to think they're doing a great job by continuing to stay quiet. A coach's job is to fight for his team just like they fight for him.

He’s figured out how they call the game against us pic.twitter.com/RK5VT4TsiE

FTs disparity is kinda crazy Giannis had more FTAs than FGAs. Additionally when one group of five guys has a rhythm and has fought back to give our team the lead maybe let them finish the game? Payne and them boys were cookin'… let'em cook!

Monty Williams when he finds out that a dude who took 3 layups all game only gets 3 free throws

It’s not a secret that superstars get officiated differently.
The players need to earn their stripes and the right to get every call; it’s always been like that.
But that also gives players like Giannis the ultimate edge over every single defender on Earth, as there’s not much they could do against a driving force of nature like him, even if the game were called properly.
Williams will likely be fined for his comments, but some around the league may give props to him for calling these referees out.
