The Boston Celtics won their third game in a row on Sunday night, taking down the San Antonio Spurs with a massive 137-93 win.
Beating the Spurs isn’t a huge accomplishment because they are one of the worst teams in the league but the Celtics were able to do it even without their biggest star.
Jayson Tatum sat out of the game but Jaylen Brown stepped up with 41 points and 13 rebounds.
After the game, Brown was asked about what it was like to lead the team.
His response has some people think his response suggests he could leave Boston.
“When you have an opportunity to be ‘that guy’, it’s an honor,” Brown said according to Celtics on NBC Sports Boston.

This was a short statement from Brown.
Still, it was enough to start a firestorm online with various opinions popping up all over the place.
The most accurate opinion was shared by one Twitter user who said “People are going to spin this into their own narrative.”

Sure enough, some people thought that Brown’s comment was completely harmless.
They don’t believe he wants to leave to lead his own team, like James Harden and others have in the past.

Others were on the other side of the opinion.
One fan thinks it’s obvious that Brown is aiming to leave the Celtics.
“This guy can’t wait to leave, and that’s a huge problem for the Celtics,” he said.
He said that he thinks Brown is a top fifteen or top ten player in the league right now.
His absence could hurt the team, he argued.
This guy can’t wait to leave, and that’s a huge problem for the Celtics. Tatum, is better than Brown and that’s a fact, but Jaylen still may be a top 15 or top 10

One Twitter user tried to put it all in perspective, begging people to not “take this out of context.”
