This has been a very frustrating season for the Golden State Warriors, as they have not resembled their championship selves from last season at any time.
Injuries have been one reason why they have struggled, as Stephen Curry has played in just 38 of their games so far this year.
He has been out with a lower leg injury since early February, but ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that he is expected to return as early as Sunday versus the Los Angeles Lakers.

When Curry has been available this season, he has produced at about as high a level as ever.
He is currently averaging 29.4 points, 6.3 rebounds and 6.4 assists per game this year while shooting 49.5 percent from the field and 42.7 percent from 3-point range.
Curry is coming off a tremendous performance in last year’s NBA Finals, one that included a 43-point outburst in Game 4 and earned him series MVP honors for the first time.
Although the Warriors are currently in fifth place in the Western Conference, they have never really gained or maintained any real momentum this season.
If they are to do so between now and the start of the playoffs, they will need a healthy Curry.
Many feel their problems run deeper than the health of their key players, as they’re just 7-23 on the road and rank just 18th in defensive rating.
But most would also agree that if the Warriors get healthy and hot the rest of the way, no one will want to face them in the playoffs, and they should have at least a puncher’s chance at their fifth world championship in the last nine seasons.
