One NBA star has gotten himself into serious trouble.
Memphis Grizzlies point guard Ja Morant was reportedly seen holding a gun on his Instagram live.
According to NBA Insider Shams Charania, Morant’s actions prompted the franchise to suspend him for at least two games.

The NBA said they were going to launch an investigation into the matter.
It will be interesting to see if the league comes up with any punishment of its own.
The team suspending him is CRAZY. Wonder what the league is gonna do

This was the last thing the Memphis Grizzlies needed en route to their playoff run.
Morant is arguably the team’s best player and leading scorer.
Some fans feel that the punishment is not harsh enough, and that Morant should be suspended for more games.
Should be way more than 2 games

It would be a surprise if the NBA does not further punish Morant.
Many NBA players are looked up to as role models for kids.
So Morant’s actions have definitely rang some alarm bells among the NBA’s top brass.
Good NBA players need a good public imagine we’ve got young kids wanting to be like them and I doubt we want them to grow up thinking this is cool

To make matters worse, the Grizzlies lost a key player during last night’s loss to conference leader Denver Nuggets.
After suffering an Achilles tear, forward Bradon Clarke will now sit out the rest of the season.
The Grizzlies are in the thick of a Western Conference playoff chase.
They are currently the number two-seed, but are only one loss away from being overtaken by the Sacramento Kings.
It will be interesting to see what other fallout comes from this Morant incident.
But it is certainly not a good look for either Morant or the NBA.
