Like everyone else in the Western Conference, the Golden State Warriors have their eyes set on the Phoenix Suns.
Now that they have Kevin Durant, the Suns are a team to beat and shouldn’t be taken lightly.
Therefore, when the Warriors faced off against them on Monday night, they came out swinging.
Klay Thompson was particularly ready to play hard and dominated the Suns.
He went 8-of-14 from the three-point line and scored 38 over Phoenix in a big 123-112 victory.

Thompson’s 38 was a team-high score and it got fans all over the internet talking.
For months now, Thompson has been looking more and more like his regular self.
At this point last year, he was still finding his rhythm after a couple of years off the court due to injury.
That is now looking like a distant memory.
One fan on Twitter commented on how some people thought that Thompson’s best days were behind him.

Others commented on how Thompson has found his footing and is again playing consistently and repeatedly stepping up for his team.
He really does appear to be playing as he used to as if he never missed time at all.

Another NBA fan noted that Thompson seems to step up not just for himself but for the good of the team, especially his long-time teammate and friend, Stephen Curry.

Thompson was tuned in all night and appeared like he was in the zone and ready to prove himself and play as hard as he needed for his team.
As multiple Warriors fans noted, it looked as if he was taking the game against the Suns very personally.

The Warriors are always better when Thompson is in the sort of rare form he was in on Monday night.
That was exactly what this team needed as the postseason approaches.
