Donovan Mitchell of the Cleveland Cavaliers is having a terrific season.
His first year for the Cavs has seen him average 27.4 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 4.5 assists a game.
He is leading his team in many ways, including leadership.
And he has also achieved a huge NBA milestone.
Now that the Cavaliers have claimed a spot in the postseason, Mitchell has made the playoffs for every season he’s played in the league.
This is quite the accomplishment for the guard and it shows that he is a top-tier player.

Mitchell’s latest move into the playoffs got people talking online, with some supporting him and others taking issue with the celebration around him.
Multiple NBA fans on Twitter pointed out that Mitchell isn’t the only player to do make the playoffs each season.

Others commented on the fact that while Mitchell has in fact made it to the postseason each year, he hasn’t found a lot of success there.
“17-22 in the playoffs btw,” one Twitter user said.
It is true that Mitchell’s Utah Jazz never did very well in the playoffs.
That is something he is hoping to change this year with the Cavaliers.
Most people agree that this Cavaliers team has a better shot at postseason greatness and could go quite far in the East.

There were several fans who noted that Mitchell’s playoff appearances haven’t resulted in any Finals runs.

Mitchell has had a wonderful season and has added even more talent and firepower to the Cavaliers.
But now the biggest challenge lies ahead: he and his team have to show that they’re not just a great regular season team but a true postseason power too.
