Dwight Howard has had quite the NBA career so far.
He has had some incredible highs (he won the championship with LA after all) and some tremendous lows (his first stay in Los Angeles, his time with Houston…and Atlanta…and Charlotte) but he seems to have found his place in the league all these years later.
He’s not getting nearly as much time on the floor but he seems much more comfortable with the role he has.
Disgustingly robbed of Top 75 because NBA wanted to pander to the original 50 and didn’t take them off. https://t.co/CUzQqVI0OX

Some people love Howard, some people hate him, but few can argue that he’s not a talented defensive unit.
One NBA fan on Twitter thought about the fact that Howard is the only player in history to win three straight Defensive Player of the Year awards and yet he still didn’t make it onto the NBA 75 Anniversary Team.
It is kind of confusing to see Howard’s name left off the list but that’s the way the cookie crumbles – and it’s not stopping him from trying his hardest 18 years into his career.
Superman Returns
Howard’s output on the court has dropped a lot over the years, as age and injuries have caught up with him.
In his last season with the Lakers, he only put up 6.2 points, 5.9 rebounds, and .6 assists.
That pales in comparison to his career-average of 15.7 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 1.3 assists.
And it’s nothing like his best season in Orlando, when Howard created 22.9 points, 14.1 rebounds, and 1.4 assists a game.
Howard is not the player he once was but he still has a lot of enthusiasm and can come in clutch at certain moments.
During the peak of his career, Howard really was one of the best defenders of this generation.
So why didn’t he make the Top 75 list?
