And while most people speculated they would choose the San Antonio Spurs to get Victor Wembanyama to play in front of his home crowd, they shocked the world by choosing the Cleveland Cavaliers and Brooklyn Nets instead.

This might be a bit of a bummer for some fans, but it may actually be a blessing in disguise.
Even with Wemby on the court, the Spurs may not be very good next season.
Now, French fans will get to watch two young and up-and-coming teams that will look to make the playoffs next season, and that kind of competitiveness will give them a glimpse of what the league is actually about.
The Cavaliers will once again be one of the most promising teams in the league, with Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland, and Evan Mobley rounding up their Big 3.
As for the Nets, there’s a strong chance they’ll have Ben Simmons back on the court, with Mikal Bridges and Nic Claxton looking to put the team on their shoulders and carry them all the way back to the postseason.
The game will take place on January 11, 2024 at Accord Arena in the French capital, and info for tickets will be released in the next couple of days.
