The Los Angeles Lakers have not been very good so far this NBA season.
At the All-Star break, the Lakers have a record of 27-32, which puts them at 13th in the Western Conference standings.
The Lakers only have 23 games left in the regular season, and they need to play great in that stretch.
Luckily for them, six games are separating the 3rd team and the 13th in the West.
So the Lakers are still very much in play to make a postseason push.
Lakers legend Magic Johnson thinks that no team will want to play the Lakers if they get into the playoffs.
That might sound like a stretch but Fox Sports analyst Joy Taylor seems to agree.
"You can scoff, but this won't be the same Lakers team you'll run into if they make it into the postseason."

For the Lakers to even make the playoffs, they will need to stay healthy over the rest of the season.
That has not been something the Lakers have been capable of all year.
Also, the trades made right before the all-star break should give Lakers fans a reason for optimism.
They added D’Angelo Russell, Jarred Vanderbilt, and Malik Beasley, all of which are solid contributors.
But, all of the pressure will remain on LeBron James and Anthony Davis to get this team to the postseason.
It would be a bad look for both of those players if they fail to make the playoffs for a second straight season.
Despite how bad their season has gone to this point, the time is now for the Lakers to turn it on.
