On Wednesday night, the Memphis Grizzlies and Cleveland Cavaliers starred in one of the most thrilling games we’ve seen in the NBA this season.
Both teams went toe to toe throughout the whole evening, with the Cavs leading by ten and the Grizzlies by 19 at some point.
Eventually, it took a Steven Adams tip-in layup with 16 seconds left on the clock to give the Grizzlies a 115-114 lead that would eventually be enough to get the win.
So, after all the excitement, NBA insider Molly Morrison went as far as to predict that we’ll get to see them going at it again on the biggest stage: the 2022/23 NBA Finals.
i’ve seen enough. 2023 grizzlies/cavs NBA finals is inevitable

There’s no doubt that both teams have strong rosters, so it wouldn’t be a huge surprise if one of them — or even both reached the Finals.
Then again, the Grizzlies haven’t fared quite well against the Western Conference this season, despite being the second seed.
The Cavaliers, on the other hand, have been a bit of a juggernaut against lesser teams but have struggled to close out games versus contenders.
Even so, these two teams are up-and-coming, and it seems like it’s just a matter of time before they take the league by storm.
Ja Morant, Jaren Jackson Jr., Desmond Bane, and Dillon Brooks can make plays on both ends of the floor, while Darius Garland, Donovan Mitchell, Evan Mobley, and Jarrett Allen also have untapped potential as a unit.
So, as far-fetched as it may sound at first, we wouldn’t put our money against either of these teams right now.
