It’s time to admit the Miami Heat dropped the ball by signing Kyle Lowry.
He’s been hurt often, and he hasn’t been efficient on either end of the floor since arriving in South Florida.
Of course, Lowry’s not getting any younger, so some regression was due at some point.
However, he looks far from the player he used to be during his final years with the Toronto Raptors, and his contract makes him one of the most tradeable assets on Pat Riley’s team.
So, now that Kawhi Leonard has reportedly included Lowry and Fred VanVleet on his wish list, former NBA player Kendrick Perkins believes he’d be a right fit with the Los Angeles Clippers:
"Kyle Lowry is not seeing eye-to-eye with the Miami Heat over there. Him and Ty Lue are good friends. [The Clippers] could be a perfect fit for him."

“Kyle Lowry is not seeing eye-to-eye with the Miami Heat over there. Him and Ty Lue are good friends,” Perkins said. “[The Clippers] could be a perfect fit for him.”
Perkins states that Lowry isn’t happy under Erik Spoelstra’s tutelage, adding that he’s good friends with Clippers coach Ty Lue.
The Clippers have once again failed to live up to the expectations this season, mostly due to Leonard’s part-time availability and some offensive issues.
Ty Lue’s team could use improvement and more production at the point guard position, as Reggie Jackson is nothing more than a scoring guard to lead the second unit, and John Wall has spent plenty of time on the shelf with multiple injuries.
Still, it would be intriguing to see what could the Clippers offer for Lowry’s services, as the Heat are unlikely to blow up their roster unless they get valuable Draft picks or an All-Star in return, and they might not be able to provide either in any potential trade.
