There is no doubt that Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors is one of the greatest basketball players alive.
His 8 All-Star appearances and 4 championships make the case for that.
But just how important is Curry?
How much of an influence has he had on the current league and the history of the game?
"You can make the case to me, year in & year out… you could make a strong case he's been the most valuable player in the league over the past decade. I just don't think we talk about his greatness enough."

Former NBA coach and current analyst Jeff Van Gundy thinks that Curry’s impact has been immense.
“You can make the case to me, year in and year out, you could make a strong case he’s been the most valuable player in the league over the past decade,” Van Gundy said.
He continued, “I just don’t think we talk about his greatness enough.”
While nearly everyone agrees just how wonderful Curry is, there are still arguments about how vital he has been to the league and its future.
It is very true that over the last ten years, Curry has become the face of the NBA for many.
And it’s also true that he has changed the way the game is played, with more and more players putting emphasis on sharpshooting and speed over physicality and strength.
But how does Curry stack up against guys like Kevin Durant, LeBron James, and Giannis Antetokounmpo?
That will always be a question up for debate.
What is interesting now is seeing what Curry does at this point in his career.
He is 34 years old and entering a new phase of his time with the Golden State Warriors.
Curry is in the back half of his NBA tenure and it’ll be curious to see how impressive and important he is for his team in the years ahead.
He has found so much success and critical acclaim but the next few years might define his already-mammoth legacy.
