The Cleveland Cavaliers faced off against the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday night for the play-in game to decide who would take the seventh seed in the East.
It didn’t work out well for the Cavs, who ended up falling to the Nets, 115-108.
Even though they lost the game, they still have a chance to make the playoffs when they face off against the winner of the 9/10 game on Friday night.
Many people are still celebrating the Cavs despite their loss, especially their up-and-coming roster.
As good as Kyrie is now, he wasn't as good as Darius Garland was three years into his career.
Garland on a better trajectory.

Justin Termine compared Cavs superstar Darius Garland to Nets point guard Kyrie Irving.
On Twitter, Termine said, “As good as Kyrie is now, he wasn’t as good as Darius Garland was three years into his career. Garland on a better trajectory.”
Is Termine right and will Garland soon be better than Irving?
Garland Grows Into A Star
There is no doubt that Garland is one of the most important parts of the Cavaliers’ current resurgence in the East.
After three years in the league, Garland is putting up 21.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 8.6 assists a game.
During his third season, Irving was producing 20.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 6.1 assists a game.
Based solely on the numbers, Termine is right: Garland is creating more than Irving was at this point in his career.
However, Irving has stayed consistent through his time in the NBA, rarely averaging below 20 points a game.
Does Garland have the ability to match Irving’s consistency?
Beyond the Irving comparison, Garland is a great up-and-coming talent who really could be a strong presence within the league for years to come.
It remains to be seen if Garland’s career will rival Irving’s but it’s undeniable that it’s off to a terrific start.
