The Chicago White Sox are coming off a disappointing season that saw them finish 81-81 and miss the playoffs.
After being heavy favorites to win the AL Central last year, their play was quite embarrassing.
So it would make sense that they would be active in free agency to try and improve their roster.
But, that has not been the case.
Chicago has done almost nothing in free agency and instead has seen one of their best players leave (Jose Abreu).
There is still time for the White Sox to make some moves before all the quality free agents are gone.
Here are two moves they should be looking to make.
1. Sign Andrew Benintendi
The White Sox can use some help in their outfield, left field in particular.
So they might as well make a run at the best left fielder on the market.
That is Andrew Benintendi.
He is a left-handed bat that would fit nicely in the righty-heavy White Sox lineup.
Also, he is still only 28 years old and in the prime of his career.
White Sox in terms of "Analytical" Front Offices are in the bottom quartile. Yet, they've adopted this perspective that "We've got to get the RIGHT Deal" v. "We Want that player"
Andrew Benintendi is a practically perfect fit.

For a team that should be making moves to compete in the Central, this one seems obvious.
They can not expect to go into next season with their current lineup and win 90+ games.
Signing Benintendi is a move they need to make.
2. Bring Back Carlos Rodon
At some point, the White Sox front office will need to decide how serious they are about winning.
If they want to get back into contention in the AL, signing starting pitcher Carlos Rodon could go a long way in accomplishing that.
Rodon is the last elite pitcher remaining in free agency.
He spent the first seven years of his career in Chicago, before signing with the San Francisco Giants last season.
Rodon finished fifth in NL Cy Young voting last season.
An elite list.

He would most definitely be the ace of the White Sox and help their pitching staff match the strength of the Cleveland Guardians.
But, it all comes down to the price for the White Sox.
If they are willing to spend up for an ace then good on them, and if not then they should not expect to compete next season.
