In the NFL, there are some players who fans love.

However, there are some players that every NFL fan loves no matter who that person plays for.

While they move on to other teams, fans still follow them.

These players draw attention to themselves from fans by doing things on and off the field.

Three players currently playing in the NFL make themselves the most likable players to NFL fans.

So who are those NFL players and what makes them likable?

3. Russell Wilson

One quarterback that people like is Russell Wilson.

The former Seattle Seahawks and current Denver Broncos quarterback lives life drama free.

While some quarterbacks complain constantly about issues, Wilson doesn’t do these things.

He doesn’t cause drama with his team or teammates, something that helps him with building a relationship with his teammates.

As more players become people thinking about themselves, it’s difficult to find players like Wilson.

It is his likability, and talent, that stands out with NFL fans and the Broncos.

He also has a history of doing charity work.

Once again @DangeRussWilson and the wonderful people at @WheelsUp are first class. 300,000 meals. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I’ve seen it up close w both on charity events. #RealDeal

From delivering meals for charity, or writing a children’s book, to visiting children in hospitals, Wilson is a class act.

That’s what makes him a likable NFL player by all fans.

2. Matthew Stafford

The former Detroit Lions, and current Los Angeles Rams, quarterback is special to fans.

Matthew Stafford played a huge role in the communities in Michigan.

The current Super Bowl champion quarterback donated $1 million to help build a new education center in Detroit, even after being traded.

Absolutely incredible. Former Detroit #Lions QB Matthew Stafford and his wife, Kelly, have donated $1 million to help build a new education center in Detroit as a final goodbye to the city #OnePride #Detroit #Charity #Rams #NFL #NFLTwitter #Touchdown pic.twitter.com/dxzQiGTXaF

Both he and his wife are active in helping charities and it’s something making Stafford a likable guy.

He never let fame distract him.

He put community, and others, above all else as a Lions player.

It is also the one reason so many Lions fans wear his Rams jersey.

They appreciate all he did for Detroit outside of Ford Field.

1. J.J. Watt

Even though his NFL career has seen some rough spots, NFL fans still love him.

The University of Wisconsin standout has recorded two 20+ sack seasons, an NFL record.

That isn’t the only reason NFL fans love him.

His charity work is where fans find the player they love.

Over $5 Million raised and schools in 37 states (and counting!) supported thanks to your incredible generosity!

Please consider joining us on June 6th, 2020 for the Charity Classic!

He’s helped raise funds for schools and also done charity work for victims of hurricanes that devastated the United States.

Watt is a player who puts the needs of everyone else above his own.

When he could have just done an appearance for events, he always goes further with what he does.

He gives time and money to those in need.

Everything he’s done for the people of Houston has them loving him even while he’s playing for another team.

With the impact he’s made on and off the field, it makes him the most likable NFL player currently playing today.

While others have done a lot to give back to their community, Watt has done the most.

He never lets his fans down and always wants to help those who need it the most.

About Matthew Willis

Since my childhood, I've been a life-long sports fan of Chicago sports teams. Whether we are doing good or bad, I still root for the Bulls, Bears, and Cubs. I have been writing sports articles since 2021. Living in Michigan as a Bears fan has made me enemy #1 with Lions fans.
