The 2022 NFL offseason is packed with dramatic moments.
Three moments stand out the most so far.
Let’s look at the three biggest dramatic moments of the 2022 NFL offseason to this point.
3. Za’Darius Smith Backs Out Of Deal With Ravens
After being released by the Green Bay Packers, the Baltimore Ravens made an offer to Smith.
He played for the Ravens during his rookie season, and everyone thought his homecoming was a foregone conclusion.
However, he would back out of his contract agreement with the Ravens and sign a deal with the Minnesota Vikings.
Money could have been a factor in the change of heart, as the Vikings deal gave him more money.
However, the chance to get revenge on the Packers could’ve factored in as well.
Smith has antics he shows when people snub him and his abilities.
Those antics started when Pro Bowl voting ignored him.
He then started wearing a shirt under his jersey with the word “snubbed” on the shirt.

Every time he got a sack following him being snubbed, he’d show his shirt to the crowd.
Now Aaron Rodgers and the Packers will feel the wraith of Smith twice a season.
2. Deshaun Watson Signs With Browns After Drama Starts With Baker Mayfield
The Deshaun Watson sweepstakes in 2022 saw many teams trying to trade for him with the Houston Texans.
However, only one team could win the sweepstakes and that was the Cleveland Browns.
But in winning Watson, they upset their current starting quarterback, Baker Mayfield.
When Mayfield heard about Cleveland meeting with Watson, he would take to Twitter to express his feelings.

As he did so, he’d request a trade, which was initially denied by the Browns.
The trade deal was originally rejected by Watson.
However, the Browns would offer the best contract to Watson to win him over.
The Browns now have Mayfield on the roster until a team needs his services and trades for him.
1. Davante Adams Refuses To Play On Franchise Tag, Lands In Las Vegas
Green Bay is a constant source of offseason drama.
Last year, the drama surrounded their star quarterback.
However, this year it was around both Rodgers and Davante Adams.
Rodgers wouldn’t restructure his contract until after he knew about a trade deal between the Packers and Las Vegas Raiders.
The deal sent their star receiver to Las Vegas for some draft picks in 2022.
Everything started when the Packers put the franchise tag on Adams.
That was because they didn’t have the funds to offer him a long-term deal before his contract ended this year.
The shortage of funds is partially because of Rodgers’ contract.
Adams would then refuse to play unless he got a long-term deal.
However, that long-term deal is with the Raiders.
Rodgers also got what he wanted.
Adams has his long-term deal and plays for his old college quarterback.
Rodgers got an extension on his contract and a pay raise.
However, the Packers lost out in all this drama and could suffer from it in 2022.
