The NFL never fails to provide fans with endless drama.
That is all part of the fun.
2021 is no different and in this article we want to focus in on a few quarterback situations providing countless storylines.
Three in particular stand out at this point in the year.
3. Jimmy Garoppolo, San Francisco 49ers
Jimmy Garoppolo currently stands as the starting quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers.
But didn’t they just use a No. 3 overall pick on quarterback Trey Lance?
That move immediately put Garoppolo on the clock and it is clear the 49ers are itching to see what they have in Lance.
If the 49ers were confident in Garoppolo, they could have used that high draft pick on literally any other position to improve the team.
Instead, they saw quarterback as a weakness and Lance as someone who could solve their problems.
Even if he stays healthy, it would be a shock to see Garoppolo start all 17 games for the 49ers this year.
2. Deshaun Watson, Houston Texans
This situation is truly bizarre.

Deshaun Watson is at Houston Texans training camp, but is not serving as the starting quarterback.
He also openly wants to be traded and has a whole list of pending legal allegations against him.
He only showed up to avoid some hefty fines.
But Watson being at camp is its own distraction.
He is an elite NFL quarterback, sitting in the background with no intention to play for the team in 2021.
The entire organization would be better off just to send Watson home and forget about the fines.
Showing up and not running the first-team offense is just weird and this whole situation is a disaster for first-year head coach David Culley.
1. Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers

Now onto the obvious one.
The Green Bay Packers have a noted problem with handling legendary quarterbacks nearing the end of their NFL careers.
Drafting Jordan Love last year was enough to enrage Aaron Rodgers and now the team is scrambling to make everything great again.
If Love was the real deal, the Packers would be more comfortable moving on from Rodgers.
It would appear, as of right now, that this will be Rodgers’ final year in Green Bay.
He reportedly turned down major money from the franchise and could take the Tom Brady route of continuing his career elsewhere.
Regardless, Packers fans may never forgive the front office this time around if Love ends up being a dud.
Trying to patch things up now may just be too little too late.
The only hope in Green Bay is that Rodgers will guide the team to a title before leaving for good.
