The second half of the 2022 MLB season is now underway, and we had some dramatic moments in our first slate of games since returning from the All-Star break.
One such moment took place in the series opener between the San Francisco Giants and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The Dodgers are obviously riding high since hosting the All-Star festivities, and they came out in style on Thursday night.
Mookie Betts led the way for the boys in blue, as he delivered the biggest hit of the night, a go-ahead three-run homer that put Los Angeles ahead 9-6, where they would stay.
The Dodgers tweeted a video of the moment where Betts sent the crowd into a frenzy.

The Dodgers needed a big hit, so they turned to their superstar to get it done.
And he sure got it done.
An 83-mph changeup from Jarlin Garcia was no match for the power of Betts, as he took the left-hander deep and delivered in the clutch.
It was a big win for the Dodgers against their archrivals.
Los Angeles extended their lead over San Francisco in the NL West division to 13.5 games with the win.
They also are now 10.5 games ahead of the San Diego Padres and have a firm grasp on the best record in the National League.
They’ve now won five straight games.
Betts has a knack for coming up big in the clutch.
That’s been his strength for so many years and it’s why he won an AL MVP Award in 2018.
He’s the catalyst of this Dodgers team and is the one who is going to lead the way for them as they make a push for October.
