The 2023 World Baseball Classic will represent an electrifying competition for baseball fans before the MLB season starts.
The fifth edition of the tournament will take place from March 8-21 at several venues.
The beauty of the competition is that there is no clear favorite: Team USA is loaded with stars in the position player department, the Dominican Republic has dominant pitching, and Japan has won the event two times and can’t be ruled out.
Other countries such as Venezuela, South Korea, Mexico, and Cuba also have concrete chances.
Bettors are already determining the odds of each team lifting the trophy, and Team USA might have the early advantage due to its star power.

Fox Bet Live established USA’s odds to win at +260, slightly better than the Dominican Republic at +275.
Those two are the heavy favorites to win it all on March 21 by virtue of their spectacular rosters.
So far, the Americans have confirmed J.T. Realmuto, Will Smith, Pete Alonso, Paul Goldschmidt, Trevor Story, Nolan Arenado, Bobby Witt Jr., Tim Anderson, Trea Turner, Mookie Betts, Cedric Mullins, Kyle Schwarber, Mike Trout, Kyle Tucker, Merrill Kelly, Nestor Cortes, Kyle Freeland, Brady Singer, Adam Wainwright, Logan Webb, David Bednar, Dillon Tate, Devin Williams, and Clayton Kershaw.
Bryce Harper was also supposed to play but will likely miss the tournament after going under the knife.
The Dominicans, however, also have an amazing roster, with Sandy Alcantara, Luis Castillo, Manny Machado, Jose Ramirez, Rafael Devers, Jeremy Pena, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Juan Soto, Emmanuel Clase, Starling Marte, Julio Rodriguez, and many more stars.
It will be one of the most exciting Classics in recent memory.
