Another day and more additions to Team USA for the 2023 World Baseball Classic.
On Tuesday, it was announced that two MLB aces would be joining an already stacked Team USA roster.
St. Louis Cardinals veteran Adam Wainwright and New York Yankees left-hander Nestor Cortes each announced their commitment to Team USA.
Wainwright and Cortes join Merrill Kelly of the Arizona Diamondbacks in the team’s starting rotation.
But beyond those three, Team USA is stacked and looks ready to do some more damage and defend their title from 2017.
David Bednar, Dillon Tate, and Devin Williams currently make up the bullpen for the team.

Team USA’s Stacked Roster
On the offensive side, Team USA is loaded with sluggers.
J.T. Realmuto and Will Smith are the team’s two catchers.
For infielders, Team USA has National League MVP Paul Goldschmidt and his Cardinals teammate in fellow MVP finalist Nolan Arenado.
Pete Alonso, Tim Anderson, Bobby Witt Jr, Trea Turner, and Trevor Story are also on the roster.
For outfielders, the team features Cedric Mullins, Mike Trout, Kyle Tucker, and Mookie Betts.
Bryce Harper also committed to Team USA, but after undergoing Tommy John surgery, it’s very likely that he will not take part in the Classic.
That doesn’t take away from the talent on the roster, however.
Led by Mark DeRosa, the team will look to defend its title from 2017.
The Classic was put on hold in 2021 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, but will be making its triumphant return in 2023, with star-studded rosters and exciting matchups.
