We’re almost to July.

The 2022 MLB season is rolling along after being slightly delayed due to the lockout.

But baseball is back in full swing again and the races are heating up.

People are going to start making predictions for who will win MVP Awards, Cy Youngs, divisions, Wild Cards, and so much more once the All-Star break comes and goes.

MLB posted a graphic on Twitter featuring the top contenders for the American League MVP Award as of now.

There are a lot of big names on the list, with Shohei Ohtani, Aaron Judge, and Yordan Alvarez being among the top three.

Who Will Be Crowned MVP?

The races are heating up.

Several players in the American League have staked their claim by getting off to extremely hot starts and are showing what they are made of just in time for July to come around and for us to reach the midpoint of the 2022 season.

At this point, it’s anybody’s race.

The other three names on the list are Rafael Devers, Jose Ramirez, and Mike Trout.

These are huge names and each and every one of them has a chance to come away with the AL MVP Award at the end of the season.

It’s a hot race, but it’s just getting started.

We aren’t even in the dog days of the season yet.

We’ve got to wait until August for that.

But that doesn’t take the excitement out of the current races.

Each player on the list has staked their claim and has given us a glimpse of why they should at the very least be considered for the award.

We’ll see what the next couple of months brings.
