The 2022 MLB All-Star Game could get in the middle of an ugly labor dispute.
It doesn’t have anything to do with the game per se, but it is related to the show and the whole fan experience: Dodger Stadium concession workers could go on strike in advance of next week’s All-Star Game, according to the union representing those workers.
According to an article by the Los Angeles Times, 99 percent of the food and beverage workers at Dodger Stadium approved a strike.
There is no set date for it to start, but it could be at any minute.
The Los Angeles Dodgers will not only host the All-Star Game, but also the Futures Game on Saturday and the Home Run Derby on Monday,
Things could get problematic, as fans will need to have some food and beverage options available near their seats.

A Less-Than-Ideal Situation
The union said through a statement that it represents nearly 1,500 “food servers, bartenders, suite attendants, cooks and dishwashers at Dodger Stadium.”
According to the statement, the workers are seeking “a fair new union contract.”

The All-Star Game itself is scheduled for Tuesday, July 19 in Dodger Stadium.
The plans remain in place for now, but it’s important to monitor the situation throughout the week.
Is certainly not ideal for fans, but many of them understand that they are fighting for what they believe is right and fair.
Let’s all hope, as fans, that a quick resolution is reach and everybody can get something to close to their aspirations.
