MLB Players Are Rightfully Bored Out Of Their Minds

As the MLB lockout drags on, both fans and players are bored out of their minds and are constantly looking for ways to pass the time until it ends.

There’s been no major news, other than updates on negotiations, which at this point, fans are sick and tired of and just want to have baseball back.

The old saying goes “idle hands are the devil’s workshop,” but in this case, there might be an exception to that saying.

Los Angeles Dodgers reliever Brusdar Graterol took matters into his own hands and built his own bullpen mound in his backyard, as well as his own golf course.

Brusdar Graterol built a bullpen mound and a miniature golf course in the backyard of his Arizona home. He also faced hitters today at the facility that was set up by the MLBPA.

“I’m bored,” he said.

Killing Time

It’s easy to see why the players are bored.

They want to play baseball just as much as fans want to watch it.

But Graterol’s creations are quite genius and provide a nice little distraction from all the constant back and forth from the CBA negotiations.

And it’s nice to see players getting their reps in at the training camp set up by the MLBPA in Arizona.

Players are desperate for something to keep them busy while they wait for the lockout to end.

They need to stay in shape in case it does, and the time comes for spring training to start.

Until then, players and fans alike are stuck in limbo, waiting for some good news to come out of the CBA negotiating sessions.

It’ll be interesting to see what else players who are bored out of their minds can come up with while we wait on the end of the MLB lockout.

But it’ll also be interesting to see what will happen at the training camps.

It’s even possible that the players could decide to play some games while they’re there.
