MLB players have stepped up and provided funds for stadium workers and small businesses who have been negatively affected by the ongoing lockout.
The MLBPA has set up a $1 million fund for all seasonal and part-time workers.
The owners have also chipped in, and they will soon be providing a fund to stadium personnel and the many workers who have been impacted by the delay of the 2022 regular season.
It is unknown at this point how much money the owners will be providing, but ESPN’s Jesse Rogers reports that the league will announce the full details of their donation soon.

A Show Of Good Faith
It is good to finally see the owners providing some money to help these workers, but one can only hope that soon, they will be willing to make some more compromises in negotiations, especially if they are willing to help workers and small businesses.
It’s also nice to see some solidarity between the two sides for a change.
The ongoing labor war has been long, arduous, and heated to say the least, and it’s a big step in the right direction if the two sides can set aside their differences, even for something such as this.
As fans, we can only hope that now, the two sides will be better able to work together to come to the middle on the issues that are holding up the season.
The owners have shown an obvious unwillingness to give an inch in seemingly almost every major issue of the CBA negotiations.
But providing money to those affected at least shows some initiative on their part.
It’s unknown when the two sides will meet again, but in the meantime, they each have stadium workers covered in terms of funds and donations.
