MLB has fans all over the world.
Baseball is a global game, and some of its biggest stars were born outside of the United States.
There is a sizable group of Spanish-speaking stars, and naturally, baseball has millions of Spanish-speaking fans.
These are mostly Latino people from the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Mexico, Venezuela, Aruba, Curacao, Nicaragua, and other countries nearby.
There is an important market to take advantage of when it comes to airing postseason games.
Fortunately, the league recognized this and this segment of the market will have American League Division Series and Championship Series games broadcasts in Spanish.
“Incredibly exciting news: This fall, MLB Network will air all ALDS and ALCS games… ¡¡¡EN ESPAÑOL!!!” MLB.com reporter Nathalie Alonso tweeted.

The Initiative Is Exclusively For The American League
She posted a release that states MLB Network announced that they will exclusively air Spanish-language telecasts of the 2022 ALDS and ALCS.
It’s huge news for fans, both in the US and abroad.
Lots of supporters grew up watching games in their language.
It’s a nice way to connect with more and more people: the language barrier is a real thing, and this initiative is aimed to help eliminate it, at least for the duration of the ALDS and the ALCS.
It’s not clear if the Network intends to do the same with the National League postseason series or the Fall Classic.
The two ALDS matchups are scheduled to start on October, 11, and they will come right after the Wild Card series.
The announcers for the Spanish ALDS and ALCS telecasts will be announced soon, and the Latino community is already waiting for the names to be revealed.
