Apparently, the price to see MLB stars reunited on the same field is way too high.
The 2022 All-Star Game, to be played on Tuesday at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, is already encountering some issues and obstacles on its way.
First, it was revealed a couple of days ago that concession stand workers in Dodger Stadium are prepared to strike because they want a better labor deal.
The MLB Players Association announced that it is standing with the concession workers.
That could be problematic, just ahead of the All-Star festivities.
Now, MLB insider Bob Nightengale revealed the prices of a ticket to the game.
Hint: they are expensive, more than ever before.
“Ticket prices for the #MLB All-Star Game at Dodger Stadium next week are currently at a record highs, according to TickPick. The average ticket price is $650, 83% higher than last year and 18% higher than the previous record set in 2016 at Petco Park in San Diego,” Nightengale tweeted.

The Price Is (Not) Right
Economics and finances vary too much to provide an in-depth analysis about why the average ticket is 83 percent more expensive than last year, but fans are obviously not enjoying the rise in prices.
Sure, some of the best players in the World will be at Dodger Stadium, in Los Angeles, showing the best of their talent.
But the best of the best were also in Coors Field last year.
Los Angeles, overall, attracts more people, but the prices got out of hand.
It’s really hard to justify.
It appears that those wanting to watch Shohei Ohtani, Ronald Acuna Jr., Aaron Judge, Mike Trout, Corbin Burnes, Gerrit Cole, and several other stars at the venue will need to pay a lot of money.
