It’s officially MLB trade season.
Aside from the postseason, this is the most exciting time of the year for baseball fans.
This is when teams make the final additions to their rosters and gear up for a postseason run.
For other teams, trading away some assets and setting the course for the next year and beyond will be the strategy.
But this is the time of year where trade rumors begin to circulate, and we’ve got a trade rumor here today to discuss.
According to Jon Morosi of MLB Network, the New York Yankees have been active in pursuit of some outfield help, with Michael A. Taylor of the Kansas City Royals being on their radar.
#Yankees are looking at a number of outfielders on the trade market, with #Royals CF Michael A. Taylor among them. Taylor won a Gold Glove in center last year and would help Aaron Boone to keep Judge, Stanton, and Hicks healthy in 2nd half and postseason. @MLBNetwork @MLB

Taylor A Target For The Yankees
Taylor won a Gold Glove in center field last year with the Royals, as Morosi notes.
This could also be a good way to make sure Giancarlo Stanton, Aaron Judge, and Aaron Hicks are all healthy and ready to go in the postseason.
All three are having productive seasons, but it would be wise for the Yankees to add a little depth, since all three outfielders have dealt with more than their fair share of injuries over the past few years.
Taylor would provide some Gold Glove caliber defense.
He also was a member of the Washington Nationals World Series championship team in 2019, so he’s got some postseason experience too.
Another veteran voice in the clubhouse with some postseason experience, even some World Series experience under his belt, certainly can’t hurt the Yankees as they gun for title No. 28.
Buckle up, baseball fans.
It’s about to get exciting.
Some of the best players in the game may have new homes before long.
