The market for left-hander Carlos Rodon may be picking up steam.
Numerous reports have suggested that the New York Yankees are the favorites to land the veteran ace.
The 30-year-old hit the market again after opting out of the second year of his contract with the San Francisco Giants.
San Francisco is still very much in play for Rodon, but it appears that two more MLB teams have checked in on him and are showing serious interest.
According to Yankees insider Brendan Kuty, the Minnesota Twins and St. Louis Cardinals have entered the sweepstakes and are showing interest.
FWIW, I'm told the Yankees are Carlos Rodon's preferred destination, but that the Twins and the Cardinals are believed to be seriously in play as of this afternoon.

Twins, Cardinals In On Rodon
Both the Cardinals and Twins could use Rodon.
St. Louis did re-sign Adam Wainwright, but they still are in need of a starter after the departure of lefty Jose Quintana.
Their starting rotation is solid, but lacks a true ace.
The Twins could be an interesting fit.
They already have Sonny Gray and Joe Ryan at the top of their rotation.
The addition of Rodon would give them a chance to compete with the Cleveland Guardians for an American League Central title.
Minnesota led the division for much of the season before a late-season collapse took them out of contention.
Like the Cardinals, the Twins could use a true ace at the top of their rotation.
As of now, it appears that Rodon’s preferred destination is the Yankees, with teams such as the Giants and the Los Angeles Dodgers also in the mix.
But with two more teams entering the sweepstakes, things are about to get even more interesting.
