The ongoing Carlos Correa saga could be over soon.
Or for all we know, maybe not.
According to Ken Rosenthal and Dan Hayes, the Minnesota Twins are making a push to re-sign their star shortstop, and it’s becoming increasingly likely as the deal with the New York Mets has reportedly hit a snag.
It might end up being anti-climactic, but at the very least, this could all be over soon, that is unless the Twins find issues with his physical, which is entirely possible.
Rosenthal provided a link on Twitter to the recent column on Correa, which has all the information on the situation.

So, could this all be over soon?
Will Correa ultimately sign with the Twins and work something out with them in case they have concerns over his physical?
Or will he stay with the Mets?
It’s even worth wondering if the Giants could swoop back in and take him.
They were the ones to originally sign him.
Plus, they had given him 13 years and $350 million, which would have made him the highest paid shortstop in all of baseball.
Everything is obviously still up in the air at this point, but if the deal with the Mets has hit a snag, then the opportunity is open for the Twins to jump in and find a way to retain their star shortstop.
The two-time All-Star and 2017 World Series champion hit .291 with 22 home runs and 64 RBI during the 2022 regular season.
But the question still remains, when will this all be over and who will ultimately secure the services of Correa.
