We have just entered the second month of the 2022 MLB season.
There is still plenty of time for things to shake out across the league and for us to see who the true contenders in Major League Baseball are.
Some teams who were expected to struggle are performing better than expected, while others who may have been expected to do well have performed below expectations.
One team that has performed well that people predicted would is the Toronto Blue Jays, who are off to a 16-10 start and sit 2.5 games behind the New York Yankees for first place in the AL East.
Though we’re far from the trade deadline, ESPN’s Buster Olney has an interesting idea of somebody the Blue Jays could pick up when the deadline nears.
Total speculation at this point, but this would be a nice trade match later this season between a team rebuilding and a team trying to win (and desperately in need of more lineup balance): the Nats' Josh Bell to the Blue Jays.

Josh Bell To Toronto?
This would be an interesting fit for the Blue Jays.
Where you would put Josh Bell is something that needs to be figured out if this deal is going to happen.
Bell can potentially play in the outfield and ultimately fill the hole left by the departure of Randal Grichuk.
They could also use him as a designated hitter or even play him at first and move Vladimir Guerrero Jr. somewhere else.
Guerrero has the flexibility to play other positions in the infield and could potentially be a DH option.
This is obviously only speculation, but if the Blue Jays were to acquire Bell from the Washington Nationals, their lineup would be even scarier than it already is.
In addition to Guerrero, the lineup features Matt Chapman, Bo Bichette, and Cavan Biggio.
This is a team that is ready to do some damage and put the baseball world on notice.
