Late on Tuesday, the Milwaukee Brewers made their second free agent signing of the offseason.
Earlier in the months, the team had signed veteran left-hander Wade Miley in an attempt to strengthen their starting rotation.
Last night, the team signed veteran third baseman Brian Anderson to a one-year contract, according to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.
The deal is worth $3.5 million with an additional $2 million in incentives.
But the newly signed Anderson is not the only Brian Anderson associated with the Brewers, as MLB Network’s Jon Heyman points out on Twitter.
The other Brian Anderson is of course the play-by-play announcer for the team on Bally Sports Wisconsin.

This is an interesting little factoid pointed out by Heyman.
Anderson the announcer is quite well respected and has been the voice of the Brewers since 2007.
He has also broadcasted several postseason games on TBS, as well as NCAA March Madness on CBS and TNT.
Some notable games include Roy Halladay’s no-hitter, and Game 5 of the 2019 Western Conference first-round matchup between the Portland Trailblazers and Oklahoma City Thunder, when Damian Lillard hit a buzzer-beater to send Portland to the next round.
He even serves as a play-by-play announcer for FOX College Hoops and lent his voice for the NBA 2K video game series.
Anderson the player is getting his first taste of Milwaukee.
But in a wild coincidence, the Brewers are now associated with two people by the name of Brian Anderson.
One will be in the broadcast booth, while the other handles third base duties.
