As MLB and the Players’ Association continue to negotiate in Jupiter, things finally seem to be moving much quicker.
After 13 hours of bargaining yesterday that lasted all the way up past midnight on the eastern time zone, the two sides were unable to reach an agreement.
However, the owners seemed pleased enough with the progress that they decided to ultimately push their so called “deadline” back to today in order to create more room for the two sides to negotiate and reach a deal in time to avoid having regular season games wiped from the 2022 schedule, which is what the deadline is in place for.
One MLB insider reported on how crazy things are in Jupiter and posed an intriguing question.
Halem, Sword, Houlihan are now headed over to the union side. Is this the first inning or the 14th or just the apocalypse

Is It The Apocalypse?
Baseball has been weird lately, to say the least.
There’s no telling what will happen next, but after long bargaining sessions yesterday that lasted deep into the Florida night, the two sides don’t seem to be showing any signs of slowing down.
They seem to finally be pulling out all the stops in order to come to an agreement on a new Collective Bargaining Agreement.
But there’s still something surreal about it, as was noted.
The madness is in full swing now, and it’ll be an interesting few hours as we approach the 5 p.m. deadline.
An Hour To Go
As of this being written, there is one hour to go before the deadline hits, and it’s anyone’s guess whether the two sides will finally agree on a deal or at least be pleased enough with today’s progress that they delay the deadline another day.
It’s crunch time for both sides, and the next few hours will tell us a lot about the state of affairs.
