The Chicago Cubs may be the most surprising team in baseball this season.
Looking at their roster before the season, no one could have thought they would be a playoff team.
Yet, the Cubs have put themselves in a great position to be playing in the postseason.
Currently, they are in the second NL Wild Card spot.
They are three games up on the Arizona Diamondbacks, who are in the third spot.
The Cubs are 76-65 and have been getting monster contributions from some lesser-known players.
One player who has shined of late is outfielder Seiya Suzuki.
According to Jon Morosi, Suzuki was struggling as the Cubs entered August, so the team gave him some time off to clear his head.
Since then he has been batting .363 with a 1.141 OPS.
Seiya Suzuki was given a 4-game break from the Cubs lineup at the beginning of August, to work on mechanical and mental adjustments.
Since then, he is batting .363 with a 1.141 OPS.
The Cubs now occupy a playoff spot.

His contribution helped vault the Cubs into a playoff spot.
But, he is not the only Cubs player who has stepped up this year.
So has former NL MVP Cody Bellinger.
The lefty is batting .318 with 24 home runs and 86 RBI on the year.
He has also contributed 19 stolen bases and 84 runs scored.
The Cubs are set for arguably their biggest series of the year against the aforementioned Diamondbacks this weekend.
Whoever wins this series could decide the fate of the NL Wild Card.
It will be interesting to see if Suzuki can continue to play at a high level.
The Cubs need his bat in the lineup every day, and he is more than capable of changing any game with one swing.
