Juan Soto of the Washington Nationals is one of the brightest young stars in the game of baseball.
At the age of 23, the slugger is already proving to be worthy of winning an MVP at some point in his career.
He’s got such a sweet swing and can absolutely crush the baseball.
If there’s one player the Nationals should build around, it’s him.
However, there appear to be rumors floating around that Soto could be a trade candidate when the deadline rolls around, as reported by Buster Olney of ESPN.
Per @Buster_ESPN, rival executives theorize that the #Nationals could be compelled to trade OF Juan Soto this summer.

Soto On The Move?
Things are going to get interesting at the trade deadline.
Trading Soto would mean that the Nationals are going to get a huge haul of prospects from whoever they deal him to.
Where would Soto go is the question.
Could the Los Angeles Dodgers attempt to bring him in like they did with Max Scherzer last season?
Possibly.
Are there some teams in the American League that could make a play for him?
Maybe the Toronto Blue Jays would be a good fit.
But it’s interesting that there are now rumors of Soto potentially being dealt at the trade deadline, especially after it looked like the Nationals were going to try and extend him and build around him.
If they’re going to trade him, then what was the point of signing Nelson Cruz?
These are all just rumors and hypotheticals of course, but it’ll be interesting to see what happens with Soto when the deadline comes, and whether or not he’ll end up being traded.
