Today, February 8, marks one month until the start of the World Baseball Classic.
Typically played every four years, the Classic was pushed back in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, with the pandemic waning and fans back in the stands, it’s almost time for the return of this legendary event.
The best players in the league have all flocked to their respective countries and teams and will battle it out to see which country truly has the best and most elite talent.
It all starts a month from today.
On Twitter, Jon Morosi of MLB Network tweeted a positive reminder of what is to come next month, doing his best to pump up fans for the big event.
Good morning! @WBCBaseball 2023 begins one month from today.

Things are getting exciting.
Not only does spring training begin next Monday, but the WBC will be in full force for the first time since 2017.
That year, Team USA was crowned the champions of the Classic and will look for a repeat performance this spring.
They’ll have a stacked roster featuring names such as Pete Alonso, Paul Goldschmidt, J.T. Realmuto, Nolan Arenado, Adam Wainwright, Nestor Cortes, Mike Trout, Trea Turner, and others.
But other countries cannot be overlooked as we move closer to the start of the Classic.
Team Japan will have perhaps the best player in all of baseball in two-way star Shohei Ohtani.
It’s going to be an exciting tournament, and we’re only one month away from having the opportunity to see the best of the best square off in the WBC.
