It has been a few days since Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field in Cincinnati during ESPN’s Monday Night Football showcase.
Since then, Hamlin and his family have received an outpouring of support from fans, athletes, coaches, and analysts alike.
On Thursday, the Bills provided an encouraging update on the 24-year-old safety, revealing that while he still is in critical condition, he has shown vast improvement and is still “neurologically intact.”
The Bills released their statement on Twitter.
The whole situation has permeated throughout the sports world, with key personnel from other sports expressing their concern for Hamlin.
MLB insider Bob Nightengale retweeted the Bills statement and echoed the sentiments of everybody throughout the sports world.

It’s good to see that Hamlin is making improvements and slowly recovering.
When the incident took place, time essentially stood still as everybody watching hoped and prayed for the safety and well-being of Hamlin, who still has his whole life ahead of him.
Even those in Major League Baseball have expressed their concern and offered their support to his family.
We often look to sports as a means to distract us from the heavy reality of the real world, but when the human element takes over, as it did the moment Hamlin collapsed, it becomes even bigger than sports, and even more important than the most crucial of matchups.
Fortunately, it appears as though Hamlin is slowly improving, and we can only hope that his condition continues to improve and that he can make a full recovery.
