There are several divisions in MLB that have already been decided.
This is the case for the NL East, the NL West, and you could say the AL Central, too.
Others, like the AL East, have two teams vying for the division crown.
Then, we have the most exciting division in baseball, the AL West, with three teams legitimately in the race and separated by just half a game.
That’s right: the Houston Astros lead by a narrow 0.5 games over the Seattle Mariners and the Texas Rangers.
Do you want to know the best part?
Each team will play a series against a direct foe in the fight for the division in the next few days.

The Mariners have two remaining series against the Rangers: from September 22-24 and from September 28 to October 1.
But that’s not all: the Mariners also get to play the Astros for a three-game showdown from September 25-27.
With the Astros leading the West and the Toronto Blue Jays also half a game up in the Wild Card standings, it’s likely that one of the three West teams is left out of the playoff party.
Of course, if all three perform well and the Blue Jays lose several games, all three West teams might advance.
Their fates will be decided in the next week-and-a-half.
All we know is that with the Tampa Bay Rays up big in the first Wild Card, one of the Astros, Mariners, Rangers, or Blue Jays will watch the postseason from home via TV.
