The last few days have been really interesting for Los Angeles Angels‘ superstar Shohei Ohtani.

Last Thursday, he hurled seven scoreless innings against the Boston Red Sox, with 11 strikeouts, and went 2-for-4 from the dish.

On Sunday, he scored the winning run with which the Angels walked off the Washington Nationals, racing home on an Anthony Rendon single.

Yesterday, he hit his first grand slam of his MLB career, and had two homers overall.

He went 3-for-4 with three runs and five RBI.

As MLB said via Twitter, “nobody does it like Shohei Ohtani.”

And you know what?

They are absolutely right.

The Angels are leading the AL West and playing some amazing ball, and Ohtani is behind their recent surge.

They are now looking like a true playoff contender, and Ohtani looks as happy as we have ever seen him.

He certainly confirmed it: “I’m definitely having the most fun right now,” he said, per a tweet by MLB.

Ohtani, MLB, The Angels, And Fans Are Happy

A lot of it has to do with the Angels finally looking like a legit contender.

It’s all good when they are winning, right?

But it is also related to Ohtani’s fun-loving persona.

He seems to enjoy what he does, even last year when the Angels were mediocre.

And the league certainly loves to post some wholesome Ohtani content on their social media channels.

They have understood that Ohtani is the face of baseball, the most exciting player on planet Earth, and they are taking advantage of that, as they should.

They have to sell the league to the world, and what better way to do it than using Ohtani’s image?

Ohtani is happy, the Angels are happy, the league is happy, and fans are happy.

It’s all working out.
