The 2022 MLB season is winding down.
We’re about to move into the next phase of the postseason, with just four teams remaining.
But as the season moves closer to its end, it’s time to start considering the races for each major award in the American League and the National League, and who the finalists will be.
Game 7 of the World Series is scheduled for Saturday, November 5, should the World Series reach its full length.
Two days after that, the finalists for each major award including Rookie of the Year, Manager of the Year, Cy Young, and MVP will be revealed.
On Twitter, the Baseball Writers Association of America tweeted when the winners of each award will be announced.
Award announcement schedule:
Nov. 14: Rookies of the Year
Nov. 15: Managers of the Year
Nov. 16: Cy Young Awards
Nov. 17: MVP AwardsThe finalists for all awards will be announced Nov. 7.

BBWAA Announces Awards Schedule
At this point, we can only speculate on who will be the finalists for each award.
They will not be revealed until November 7, so there’s still some time before we know for sure who will be in the mix.
For the Rookie of the Year, one would expect that Julio Rodriguez, Adley Rutschman, and Steven Kwan would be the favorites in the American League, while in the National League, it could be between Michael Harris and Spencer Strider.
For the MVP, one would probably surmise that Aaron Judge is the clear favorite in the American League, followed by potentially Shohei Ohtani.
In the National League, it might be a three-horse race between Paul Goldschmidt, Nolan Arenado, and Manny Machado.
All fans can do at this point is speculate, but it will be interesting to see who ultimately gets considered for what and who will come out on top in each race.
There are still two rounds to get through this postseason before fans will know anything more.
