There are only two more games to go in the legendary career of Albert Pujols.
After that, the St. Louis Cardinals will kick off their final postseason run with him and Yadier Molina on their side.
Last night, Pujols hit home run No. 703 of his career and No. 24 of the season.
That home run was a two-run shot and it officially put him ahead of Babe Ruth on the all-time RBI list.
Pujols now stands alone in second place on that list.
Pujols has been one of the game’s greatest hitters his entire career.
On Twitter, a fan posted a tweet reminding everyone just how important it is to take in Pujols’ final ride and the history he’s making along the way.
Passing Babe Ruth is like passing George Washington in something. It just does not compute.

What Pujols Means To Baseball
It’s important to appreciate what Albert Pujols has done during his epic 22-year career.
He burst onto the scene with the Cardinals in 2001 and won the NL Rookie of the Year Award.
Keep in mind, Pujols was a 13th-round pick by the Cardinals back in 1999.
He was a guy who was overlooked constantly before his career began.
But in 2001, everybody was proven wrong about him.
He would continue to wreak havoc on opposing pitching for the remainder of his time in St. Louis before heading out west to join the Los Angeles Angels on a 10-year deal.
The production declined, but Pujols remained a fearsome hitter.
Fast forward to this year, his final season in the big leagues, and Pujols has reached the 700 home run milestone and has also passed Babe Ruth on the RBI list.
The accomplishments just keep on coming, and it’s why Cardinals fans, and all baseball fans for that matter, should take it all in while they can.
