The San Francisco Giants have been productive this offseason, but it still hasn’t gone according to plan.
The team was in the running for Aaron Judge, and it appeared as if he was heading to San Francisco, as was prematurely reported by Jon Heyman of MLB Network, who had a typo in his tweet and wrote “Arson Judge.”
The New York Yankees managed to keep the AL MVP and later sign lefty Carlos Rodon, who had been San Francisco’s ace in 2022.
Then, after they had agreed to a deal with Carlos Correa, the Giants expressed concerns over the star shortstop’s physical, which led to the New York Mets swooping in and plucking Correa away.
On Twitter, one fan summed up how the offseason has gone for the Giants with a perfect meme.

The Giants have been busy and have made some good moves, to be fair.
As soon as the Correa deal fell through, San Francisco pivoted to Michael Conforto.
The team also signed a couple viable starting pitchers in Ross Stripling and Sean Manaea, and even brought in slugger Mitch Haniger.
So it’s not like the offseason has been a total bust, but it certainly feels that way for Giants fans.
They were close to signing Judge before the Yankees matched their offer at the last second.
To add insult to injury, Rodon walked and joined Judge in the Bronx.
Then, the Correa situation took place.
In short, it’s been a disappointing few months in the City of San Francisco.

Nomi says
Giants biggest off season problem was losing Rodon. If Belt can pass a physical the giants should sign him.
