By now, everybody is aware of the ongoing saga with star shortstop Carlos Correa this offseason.
After he had reportedly agreed to a 13-year, $350 million contract with the San Francisco Giants, a red flag appeared in his physical.
The Giants did not take this opportunity to continue negotiating with Correa, and the New York Mets swooped in and signed him to a 12-year, $315 million deal.
That too, hit a snag, as the Mets voiced concerns over Correa’s physical.
Now, the whole situation has turned into a complete mess.
However, some fans are having quite a bit of fun with this.
On Twitter, one fan tweeted a hilarious fake rumor about the Mets and Correa, “revealing” that the Mets are suspecting that the man they signed is an impostor, and that it’s actually Correa’s twin brother, Jean Carlos Correa.
BREAKING: Another bombshell in the Carlos Correa news cycle. The Mets are investigating the possibility that at some point Carlos Correa suffered a career ending injury and since then his twin brother Jean Carlos Correa has taken his place.

Now if this were real, it would be yet another crazy bombshell in the ongoing Correa saga.
This of course was tweeted for entertainment purposes only and should not be taken seriously, unless you like to delve into fake conspiracy theories, which can be a fun thing to do.
Just ask Star Wars fans who like to believe that the controversial Jar Jar Binks is actually a Sith mastermind.
The idea of an impostor situation here is hilarious, ridiculous, and yet at the same time, compelling.
When somebody proposes something as nonsensical as this, people can’t help but turn their heads, just for the heck of it.
But before you subscribe to this theory, we must offer a disclaimer.
This “rumor” is completely false and should not be taken seriously.
Or is it?
