As spring training draws closer, we still have yet to see a solution to the Carlos Correa situation.
Talks between him and the New York Mets have hit a snag, with both sides apparently very frustrated with the state of affairs.
We don’t know if the two sides will ultimately work things out and make the signing official, but as time goes on, we don’t appear any closer to the conclusion of this drama.
At the very least, some funny memes have come out of this saga.
On Twitter, a fan posted a meme with a scene from the hit show “Seinfeld” with George Constanza walking into work after previously quitting.
The caption read “Carlos Correa returning to talk to San Francisco Giants management.”

For context, it was originally the Giants who had signed the veteran shortstop.
They had given the two-time All-Star and 2017 World Series champion a 13-year, $350 million contract.
However, like the situation with the Mets, the deal fell through as a result of the Giants raising concerns over his physical.
The Mets obviously have raised concerns as well.
The popular consensus is that Correa and the Mets will work something out.
But at this rate, it wouldn’t be too much of a surprise if talks fell apart and Correa ended up signing elsewhere.
And while it may be unlikely, you can’t fully count out the Giants just yet.
They have the resources to get a deal done and did initially have a deal in place with the star shortstop.
