2023 will be an interesting year of baseball.
MLB has put some new rules in place, including a pitch clock for pitchers and the elimination of the defensive shift.
Larger bases will also be used.
Some fans are in favor of the rule changes while others have expressed their discontent with the league for making these adjustments.
Regardless, changes are forthcoming for the game, and if things are going to be different, why not make a few more changes to enhance the experience of baseball?
On Twitter, one fan proposed the idea of a skills challenge during All-Star festivities, similar to that of the NBA, when point guards test their skills on the court.

This would certainly be an interesting addition to All-Star festivities.
It would also be a great way for MLB to grow the game and enhance fans’ experiences, while also continuing to modernize the game and get more people interested.
The NBA has the skills challenge, a three-point shootout, and a slam dunk contest during their All-Star weekend in February.
This would be an interesting addition to what already is an exciting time of year and a highlight for the game.
It would be fun to see players such as Aaron Judge, Trea Turner, Paul Goldschmidt, Carlos Correa, and others put their skills to the test and compete against one another to see who has the most unique skillset of them all.
There is no indication that MLB is considering this, but it would certainly be a fun way to grow the game and add some more entertainment.
