The Boston Red Sox made a key signing early on Wednesday, bringing veteran slugger Adam Duvall into the fold.
The team signed the former Atlanta Braves outfielder to a one-year contract worth $7 million.
Duvall can also earn an additional $3 million in incentives.
The Red Sox now have another veteran bat in their outfield mix and have some extra power in their lineup to make up for the loss of Xander Bogaerts.
Trevor Story is also out with an elbow issue.
But Duvall may just be a perfect fit in Boston, and the video in the tweet below will explain that.

Power from the right side is important, especially in Boston.
Hitting home runs over the Green Monster is no easy task.
But Duvall certainly put a charge into that one, and there really was never any doubt that it was gone.
Red Sox fans will enjoy watching this video because it could be a sign of things to come.
They’ll want to see more of Duvall hitting home runs over the Green Monster, and if he could do it then, he could do it several more times in 2023 now that he’s a member of the Red Sox.
Anybody who can hit a ball that high and that far could fit perfectly with a team like the Red Sox.
Also, the ball didn’t just go over the monster.
It literally went out of the stadium.
And so, it’s easy to see why Red Sox fans are excited about this move and believe Duvall can help the team.
