Late in the 2022 MLB season, the baseball world was hit with sad news when it was revealed that MLB.com analyst Sarah Langs had been diagnosed with Anterior Lateral Sclerosis, otherwise known as ALS, or simply “Lou Gehrig‘s Disease.”
This disease is ultimately what cost Gehrig his life and shortened his playing career as a result.
But since Langs’ diagnosis, the entire baseball world has rallied around her in support, with special T-shirts being made to help raise awareness to this terrible disease.
On Twitter, MLB Network insider Jon Morosi posted a selfie of himself wearing the special T-shirt, while also expressing his support for Langs as she continues her battle.

The shirt reads “Baseball Is The Best” across the top, but with a hidden “End ALS” message, as the word, “End” is at the very top, with the A and L in baseball in bold along with the S in best.
This is good to see.
ALS is a disease that has affected so many around the world and continues to do so.
Langs of course is going through a tough battle right now, but it’s good to see that the entire baseball community has her back and is rallying behind her.
Back in 2018, former Oakland Athletics and St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Stephen Piscotty lost his mother after a long battle with ALS.
The disease has affected so many throughout the baseball community.
But the fight against this terrible disease is just getting started, and those who know Langs best are giving their full support.
