Nolan Arenado has earned his fifth Silver Slugger Award, winning the award for National League third basemen.
The St. Louis Cardinals acquired Arenado prior to the 2021 season and since his arrival, he has been everything that Cards fans could have ever wanted.
This year, Arenado finished with 30 homers, 103 RBI, 42 doubles, and a .293 batting average.
He also had a .533 slugging percentage, which was the best by a third baseman this year.
His 103 RBI also were the most by a National League third baseman.
On MLB Network, analyst Tom Verducci raved about the Cards’ slugging third baseman.
“No one catches the ball out in front better than Nolan Arenado,” said Verducci.

Arenado Receives Praise From An Expert
This is some pretty healthy praise and respect for Arenado.
While it’s simply common knowledge that Arenado is one of, it not the best third baseman in all of baseball, he has been one of the Cardinals’ top run producers since his arrival in St. Louis.
Arenado is also an NL MVP finalist along with his teammate Paul Goldschmidt and Manny Machado.
On top of that, he received a Gold Glove Award for the 10th time in his career.
The Cardinals were lucky to not have to give up too much in order to land Arenado.
The slugger recently opted into the remaining five years of his contract with the Cardinals.
But his hot bat was one of the reasons why the Cardinals ranked in the top five in all of baseball in runs scored.
St. Louis finished tied with the New York Mets for the third-most runs scored in the National League.
